Senior High Youth Trip to the UN
February 20-22, 2012, a group of 9th-12th graders and adult chaperones will travel to the Presbyterian office at the United Nations for a 1.5 day seminar. The topic of our 2012 seminar will be "Advocating for Children Enslaved in Agriculture and Manufacturing."
Check out the group's Facebook Page! Watch the video from last year's trip!
The Presbyterian Church USA maintains an office at the United Nations to articulate the beliefs of our church to decision makers there, to partner with other non-governmental agencies in providing relief and aid around the world, and to equip church folks to be effective agents for change. The Seminar Designer, Mark Koenig, is a dynamic and engaging educator who pushes us to not only think about, but to live out, our role as agents of God’s healing work in the world.
This trip is a joint project of five upstate New York Presbyteries: Albany, Cayuga-Syracuse, Northern NY, Susquehanna Valley and Utica – also known as the Central NY Presbytery Partnership Group (PPG).
For more information about the trip, contact Brooke Newell, Advocacy Ministries Coordinator at 518-946-2573 or brooke@cjgreen.net.
